The whole idea of Kuwait Agro started quite far from Kuwait in Switzerland! Mr. Jamil Sultan was undergoing chemotherapy after being diagnosed with stomach cancer. During his time away from the hospital, he developed the hobby of crafting cheese in the houses two car garage. Upon his return to homeland Kuwait, being a successful entrepreneur, Jamil was more determined than ever to pursue another new venture that catered to his latest hobby. He bought a large farm in Wafra and named it after his oldest daughter, Yasmin. This became his primary focus despite the physical pains he was undergoing during his treatments. He hired people to help him cultivate the land to produce high-quality chemical-free produce, and he hired a reputable dairy consultant to erect a state-of-the-art factory to produce artisan dairy product with no additives, no preservatives, and no artificial flavors and colors. He insisted that the factory would not be fully automated to keep the human touch to product-making especially on cheeses, labna, etc.
